KOGAS
Hydrogen production base construction goal [by 2022]
KOGAS aims to lead the hydrogen economy as the largest hydrogen producer and supplier in Korea by establishing 25 hydrogen production bases by 2030. In addition, we will secure competitiveness in hydrogen prices by leading production cost reductions through enlargement of production facilities and reduction of raw material costs. Currently, we are building hydrogen production bases in major cities such as Gwangju and Changwon with the goal of completion by the end of 2022, and we plan to build additional production bases nationwide in the future.
In the early stage of the hydrogen economy, KOGAS plans to produce and supply gray hydrogen produced through the company’s hydrogen production base. In the long term, we will be advancing as a green energy company by importing green hydrogen produced through solar power generation from regions with rich renewable energy resources such as Australia and the Middle East.
