KOGAS
By supplying natural gas, an eco-friendly energy, KOGAS greatly contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas as well as nitrogen oxide and sulphur oxide, which are produced with fine dust. In particular, to reduce the production of fine dust during the natural gas supply process, we strive to keep the nitrogen oxide concentration of emissions within legal limits. In addition, we strive not to exceed the annual emission limit by managing nitrogen oxide emission on a monthly basis, and continuously look for reduction measures such as adjusting operating hours, and inspecting and maintaining equipment.
Among KOGAS’s production and supply facilities, major facilities that emit air pollutants include submerged combustion vaporizers (SCV), sea water heaters (SWH), and boilers; and major pollutants emitted include NOx, SOx, and dust particles. Incheon and Pyeongtaek Terminals are classified as management plants that control the total amount of nitrogen oxide (NOx), and continuously manage and reduce air pollutants emitted.
