KOGAS
Response to climate change.
KOGAS, Korea’s leading low carbon energy enterprise, has quantified emissions voluntarily by maintaining a greenhouse gas inventory since 2008, and has carried out activities to reduce energy in respective workplaces to join the international effort to prevent global warming.
Energy management is a new paradigm to improve energy efficiency. In 2011, to reduce greenhouse gas, KOGAS became Korea’s first public enterprise to introduce this technique, and this continues to be implemented in our Incheon headquarters
1. In 2011, KOGAS became Korea's first energy company to obtain international energy management certification, and our production and supply bases have had integrated certification since 2018.

KOGAS has established and operated an IT-based integrated management system to efficiently manage all energy and greenhouse gas used and produced in the production and supply of natural gas. KOGAS has also induced energy savings by establishing a pilot system that monitors energy consumption in real time, and has used this data for a variety of analytics.
